Breast Cancer Awareness Care Drive

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Join us as we rise together at Northgate to help uplift women in need. The goal is to get as many Members as possible to help in giving back by supporting those currently receiving treatment at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute.

From October 1 – 20, Northgate members are invited to drop off an assortment of the items listed below with your Lifestyle team at the Sales Gallery. Then join us on Wednesday, October 25 at 9:30 a.m. to fill gift bags and bring some joy to someone’s day.

“When a patient is in a battle for their life, you want to do anything you can to make them feel better. You can show support in so many ways, but a great place to start is with a thoughtful care package,” Annalise, Levine Cancer Institute’s Volunteer Coordinator shared with us.

Her patient’s requests while going through treatment are a hand-written note of encouragement, lemon or ginger candies to settle upset stomachs, dark chocolate, hand creams, hats, head wraps, scarves, fuzzy non-slip socks, sleep masks, puzzle books, adult coloring books and markers.
